It's time for a cheap Bahamas vacation to escape the arctic cold

Getting to the Bahamas is relatively easy; many of the major airlines fly directly to Freeport’s Grand Bahama International Airport (FPO) or land in Miami International Airport (MIA) or Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL) for a connecting flights.  If you are tired of flying, the better choice may be flying into Fort Lauderdale as the Discovery Cruise Line ferry travels the 55 miles daily to the Grand Bahamas Island.  Sit back, relax and grab a seat and let yourself unwind and watch the sights. From there you can take a taxi to the resort or hotel.  Some hotels offer shuttle service from the airport.  

Although just a few short miles separate the US from the Bahamas, the islands feel wonderfully remote and gloriously relaxing.  The Island offers miles of white sandy beaches and crystal clear blue warm water.  While the US is experiencing winter, the Bahamas Islands have winter temperatures from 60 to 75 degrees daily, perfect weather to play 18 holes, fish or rest on the beach with a good book.  Stay for a week or for a long weekend, the Bahamas offers an easy escape from the winter doldrums.

Can you help me choose a hotel in Cozumel, Mexico?

I am between Occidental Grand Cozumel, Wyndham Cozumel Resort and Spa, and Park Royal Cozumel. I want a place that is easy to get around, baby friendly (I have 20 month old twins), comfortable, clean, and has decent food. I stayed at the Wyndham once a long time ago when it was Reef Club Cozumel- it was decent but not great. Have any of you stayed at two of these and how do they compare? Thanks!

My hubby and I have stayed in Cozumel a few times and Wyndham is our fave. It is clean, the service is great and the food is pretty good.
