What is a waist pouch and how it works:

The waist pouch, or the fanny pack, is a great item for carrying important items like cell phones, music electronics and personal electronics when on a trip. There is an efficient ventilation system in the waist pouch with which it is possible to remove moisture that is absorbed from the back panel of the pouch to the other parts of the pouch that does not touch the body directly.

The main front part of the waist pouch has a flat and vertical strip of elastic strapping that provides for insertion of object’s concave and recessed area between the container and strap. This helps in the waist pouch receiving and tightly holding the inserted object in the waist pouch, against the front panel of the container.

What to avoid in waist pouches:

When choosing your waist pouch, avoid types that are vulnerable to theft and those that prove to be rather sweaty under your clothes. Too bulky a waist pouch will make it too obvious that you are a tourist in most parts of the world too.
