Have vintage beaded hat with a rounded point on top, like something dripping upside down. What's it called?

This hat has an odd shape. It has sort of "wings" that rest on the side of the head. It is very ornate with beads and small flowers. It comes to a rounded point at the top which is shaped like a thick piece of taffy dripping down from a jar, if that makes any sense whatsoever. I can email a photo if that helps. I would like to know if that style has a name. Thanks so much.

(EDIT) well my brother told me that it could be from the 17-1900s, but hes not sure. He said take to an antique road show, and they'll tell you everything about it, you may be able to get some good money off of it. But i'd keep it. its very beautiful.
