United Business class passengers can enjoy new type of seat facility

In the past, Business Class seats in United Airlines had recliners and leg rest facility. But new seats are designed in a very different way; they can be converted into 180 degree bed for maximum comfort. It also provides additional comfort and amenities.

Business class passengers are provided 15 inch flat screen that has 150 hours of video programming which would entertain passengers. Passengers can while away their time by watching movies or by playing games etc. Many will find the 100 volt regular outlet very useful at the front of each new United Business Class seat, especially when operating a computer for several hours. The outlet is also convenient to charge a cell phone before landing.

The new Business Class seat has lumbar massage facility which is very relaxing. Since passengers have to sit for long hours, the seat provides massage to lower back which may be relaxing. The lumbar massage is controlled on the hand rest and operates on a 25-minute cycle.

Other facilities provided are iPod port, coat rack and a shelf for personal items. The cockpit feel of United’s new Business Class seats provide very limited privacy. Additional improvements to create more isolation should be considered in future upgrades.

Lighting is great on the United Business Class seats, and since long haul internal flights frequently dim cabin lighting, having two lighting sources provides more than sufficient lighting. The overhead light is fixed in one direction and typically useful. The second light on a flexible base behind the seat allows for the direction to be aimed exactly where the light is needed.

I'm flying with my dog from NYC to Denver on United Airlines. What health certificate do I need to bring?

I already made reservations for my toy poodle to go with me in the passenger cabin. I called United Airlines to ask them what health certificates specfically I had to bring, but the person on the other line was lost and didn't know what I was talking about. So, has anyone flown domestically (USA) with a small dog as carry-on on United? Do I need to take my dog to the vet within 10 days of departure for a health certificate? And I'm going to be in Denver for 7 days, so do I have to take him to the vet there, too, for another documentation? Thanks! Is there anything else I should know from experienced flyers?

Because your poodle will be in the cabin with you you do not need to worry about the weather. All he/she needs is a pre-flight check-up and certificate showing current good health and dates of all shots. There are no other travel requirements in Mainland USA . I know Hawaii does require more.
Ask your vet whether or not your pet can travel "fasting". It would be best (dog-doo does stink and your cabin mates can't open a window) If yes, then all you'll need is to bring a bottle of either your own tap-water or buy some filtered water and keep her on that. Dog tummies are more sensitive to changes. Be sure to put a absorbent pad and fluffy towel on the bottom of carrier and a comforting toy (like a non-food chew bone).
