This is mainly due to the fact that balancing weights are attached at the center which is not the case in the steel wheels which are attached on the rim’s edge. Forged alloy wheels are way stronger and lighter than their casted counterparts but more expensive and are in most cases purchased by, sport or luxury owners vehicle owners and enthusiasts.

i have a 1991 GMC sierra, how do i make it into a 4 wheel drive truck?

I did that a long time ago.The one and only way is to find a rusted out truck with a 4WD chassis and switch it with your 2WD.There are just too many differences to do it any other way.In the end you will have your existing cab and box bolted to another complete chassis.Actually,it isn't that hard to do and only took a couple days.The only modification was the 2WD cab has a different hump in the floor than the 4WD.
