How to fix a wardrobe

How can I stop my bin from smelling?

No matter how often I wash it, my indoor bin smells. It's the sort of bin you stand on the peddle to open and it has a separate compartment inside it where the rubbish actually goes. I use scented bin liners and have thought about putting a smelly pomander between the two compartments. Would this work? Any suggestions?

Try putting some baking soda in it. I believe it takes away the smell.
