Do American Tourister Worldwide Adaptor Plugs work well?

I'm traveling to England and i want to use electronics such as; a straightener, hair dryer, and a camera charger. The adaptor plug i bought can handle up to 240 V - 1500 Watts. I was told that the adaptor plug i bought wouldn't be able to handle my straightening or hairdryer, but my straightener is only 120 V and my hair dryer is 125 V. Does anyone know if this adaptor plug will actually work with these electronics?
