Another great place to shop for Steamer Trunk products is Amazon. They have more than just books! Here are some more information for Steamer Trunk: Do you remember exploring Grandmas' attic and finding that mysterious storage trunk... curiously examining all those wonderful treasures inside? Whether you have this fond memory or not... there always has been and always will be a wonderful mystery and comforting feeling surrounding steamer trunks. That is why steamer trunks are a must have for every home owner. A decorative trunk is flexible enough to correspond well with any home décor, whether you prefer antique and classic or contemporary and modern. Decorative trunks are also great because, aside from their decorative value, they serve many purposes. Obviously, you can use a storage trunk for storage... and there are many things you can do here. But in small homes, apartments, or dorm rooms you can also use a steamer trunk for a decorative end table or coffee table. (If you plan on using a steamer trunk as a table, you will want to choose one that has a perfectly flat top. Many storage trunks may appear flat but actually have a slight curve.) To take full advantage of the decorative values a storage trunk offers... you have to "think outside of the box" (pun intended.) Using a Steamer Trunk in the Living Room A decorative trunk can be used as a side table to place a lamp, coasters, and a book on beside your favorite chair. You can also store out of season items inside, such as curtains, blankets and sheets, or holiday decorations. When used as a table, a storage trunk gives you a quick and convenient access to storage without sacrificing style. Or, you can also use a decorative trunk as a coffee table. This is different because you will not want to hide storage items inside a steamer trunk when used as a coffee table. Instead, you can hide pictures, books, board games, or toys and stuffed animals for the kids/grandkids. Again, a storage trunk is the ultimate piece of living room furniture because it offers functionality as well as style. Using a Storage Trunk in the Bedroom Just as in the living room, a decorative trunk makes for a stylish side table. If you drink water at night, be sure to place your glass on a coaster so you don't cause any damage. Inside, you can store out of season clothing or any other misc. odds and ends. While a storage trunk is a must have for small rooms, it is also convenient for larger rooms as well. A steamer trunk can be used as a rustic style seating bench by a window, perhaps covered with antique dolls and stuffed animals to provide a comforting appeal. Using a Decorative Trunk in the Bathroom The last place you would think to put a storage trunk may actually be the most convenient location. A steamer trunk is perfect for any size bathroom, because it can be used to store towels and wash cloths in. If you have limited shelving in your bathroom, a storage trunk takes little space and provides the additional storage needed while giving the most underappreciated (and one of the most important) rooms in your house a comforting feel. About the Author How can I remove or break the lock on a steamer trunk? We have an old beat-up Hartmann wardrobe trunk with a missing key which is, of course, locked. I think it was a yard sale find. We haven't been able to look inside to check the condition of the wardrobe drawers and whatever else might be inside, so it may just be termite fodder at this point. Right now the lock core spins loosely in its setting and obviously others have tried, but attempts to open it ourselves have failed and this just isn't worth enough to us to pay a locksmith. Is there any one best way to bypass/break the lock to open the trunk? We've thought of just trying to drill in where the key used to go, but I don't know whether another way might be easier (maybe prying up from under the hasp?) Any suggestions?
Grind the end of the hinge pin and push it out. Ronnie Polaneczky: Jailed Einhorn's digs in France still picturesque Thanks for visiting!

I WAS INTRIGUED, to say the least, when I scrolled through the Web site for Moulin de Guitry, a lovely old windmill and former bakery in southwest France that's been converted into guest lodging.
