Take a map of eastern Tennessee and with a magnifying glass find the tiny dot that is off I-40 near exit #47 in the Great Smoky Mountains. This tiny dot is called Hartford. This is where the action is. Possibly, Hartford is Tennessee's best kept secret. It is full of all the most dangerous stuff you could imagine doing on a vacation.

 For instance, imagine yourself hiking bear (and bee) infested trails deep into the wilderness of the Cherokee National Forest. If a life-threatening disaster occurred, it probably wouldn't end well because of the distance to where help is located.

 Maybe you're the type that likes to take a mountain bike and ride down the side of a mountain at break-neck speeds. That too is available in the tiny town of Hartford, Tennessee.

 Would you like to climb steep, high cliffs and dangle off the side of a mountain by a rope. Maybe you'd like to repel into a giant hole in the ground and go spelunking 200 feet into the bowels of the earth. Hey, we've got that!

 You could, if you wish, take a 250 pound rubber boat and, along with five or six other paddlers, take it down the Mighty Big Pigeon River. There is no adventure without the dangerous risk of being swept away by fast moving water and smashing into class IV rapids. You could be churned about in angry river water until your lifeless body washes out at the takeout. How many people can say they've survived that? Actually, about 20,000 people annually survive a whitewater trip down the Pigeon River.

Is it dangerous? There is one, and only one, commercial-related river death recorded on the Pigeon in over 30 years. The number of drunken local fishermen, however, is slightly higher.

Hi, I just got back from the Smokies and I want to put my pictures to music on a cd. I'm looking for the title of songs/artists that play music that would go good with Smoky Mtn pictures and I went up to Cherokee and I would like to also put music with those pictures. Thanks for the help.
