U3 smart USB drives and xbox 360?

i bought a 4GB sandisk Cruzer retractable memmory stick, it looked good and was a steal for a tenner, but i cant use it on my xbox 360, i tried looking for an update - none. tried searching the internet and saw a site saying that they were designed for PC and xbox users, im thinkin the site is incorrect? how come my xbox wont recognise my USB stick?
no no..i dont want to transfer saves, im well aware of the memory unit and i dont need one..i jsut want to play videos and msuci from this u3 usb stickand it wont recognise it even when i disable autorun. any ideas?

It isn't designed to work on the XBOX 360. The only way to save data is on the Microsoft memory units or the Microsoft HDDs.
