What was your stuffed animal as a kid?

I had a vintage (well now it'd be vintage anyhow) teddy bear. It was an under-stuffed, worn-out, brown, dingey fuzzy thing with one eye and a blue satin ribbon tied around his neck. His name was teddy and I had always planned on passing it down to my first born and I lost him after moving out of the 'rents house. I still miss him... (lol).

We were very poor when I was a child. I didn't have much, but I do remember having this old rubber fish. I don't know where we got it, but it was probably from a garage sale. It was brightly colored. I called him "Fishy". I loved him very much and slept with him every night. When I had to leave him I would put him in a shoe box under my bed. I was probably around 4 years old when my big brother stuck a stick through him and melted him over a barrel of burning trash. I remember crying and screaming as my brother laughed and told me I needed to grow up. I NEVER got over that. My eyes are filling with tears as I write this. I don't think many adults remember how real our toys can be when we are children. I have given my children hundreds of stuffed animal toys and they always have a favorite that they sleep with. I was not ready for Fishy to go when he did. There is still a hard place in my heart towards my brother and it has been many decades ago.
