Can I take a crossover bag onto a roller coaster?

I am really trying to find another option to wearing a fanny pack or renting a locker in June when I will be going to Busch Gardens Europe in Virginia. Do you think the staff will allow me to take a bag, like the two below, onto the rides? The bags may no be much better than a fanny pack but they are still better than actually wearing a fanny pack.

I use a bag (its actually a small purse with a really long shoulder strap) like those all the time on rides. As long as it does not interfere with the operation of the safety restraints, and is secured (will not fly off during the ride) you will be fine. I do not feel safe leaving my cash, credit cards, etc. in a box on the side of a platform or with a stranger, so this works well for me. I sometimes need to shift the position of the bag a bit when I'm getting seated on a roller coaster that has U-shaped shoulder restraints, but I've never had a problem with staff objecting to it or with it coming off during a ride.
