Tidal power, space travel and momentum?

Large scale space travel can be expected in the future, as Earth's resources become exhausted and the human population rises. Every spaceship leaving or coming down to Earth changes its momentum. Can large scale space travel change the Earth's momentum so much as to affect its orbit and create inhospitable environment? Can this be calculated? Bear in mind that even minute changes in momentum can affect the orbit, and that even minute changes in orbit can severely impact the climate.

I can imagine lots of matter comes from the space every day but it should not have any preferential direction, and thus should not contribute to the overall momentum. The momentum impact calculations would certainly be dependent on the preferential method of transport: elevator or rocket propulsion. Also, it is difficult to predict the extent of space travel and when exactly would the humans be forced to leave their home planet and go search for fresh resources and sources of energy. They might as well end up killing each other when the local resources run out, and reorganize their society to base it on slave labor once again. There are just too many unknowns.
