one-piece skisuit into fashion?

what have to be done to put the one-piece skisuit back into fashion? how can we make people interested to wear one-piece snowsuit in winter?

It is an impractical garment both from a design and a retail aspect.

First off, owning a variety of pants and jackets allows a skier to vary their wardrobe based on conditions. For instance, if it is in the High 20's or low 30's I will wear my pants that are waterproof, but not insulated. If it is below 25, I can skip the waterproof pants and go with my insulated ones. Same thing with my jacket. I'll often start the day with a full-length hardshell on but by noon I'm down to wearing a mid-weight windbloc fleece. I don't see how owning a uni offers any variety.

Secondly, making one out of the best materials will make it so expensive that the average skier won't even be able to afford one. An uninsulated suit made from Gore-Tex Pro will run around $800. Mountain Hardwear and Marmot make down suits that go for around $800 as well. My guess is that if you mated the two for something high-quality the average cost would be somewhere in the $1200 range. Now, at the rate ski fashion changes, a suit like that would have to be made from a very basic color because who wants to sink $1200 into a ski suit every 3-5 years just to have the latest color?

Third, People get fat and people lose weight. I can wear the same ski pants almost every year, but I have a few jackets because my upper body changes sizes from year to year based on how much I work out, climb, and paddle.

Fourth: There's nothing like having the top part of your uni laying on the soaking wet floor in front of the toilet while you are doing your duty. Oh sure you can take the whole thing off before you do a bombing mission, but that's a pain and sometimes those extra seconds really matter. Oh...add a trap door...sure, like that's a convenience as well. Try unzipping something behind you and then scooting your long johns down INSIDE your uni. Either that or you have to undo yet another trapdoor in a farmer john! No way! When I gotta dump I don't want to waste anytime.
