Are the units in the Warhammer 40k assault on black reach pack normal playable units?

I was looking into playing warhammer 40k and was looking at the assault on black reach set; and it seems like you get a ton for how much it cost. I was basically wondering if they were normal playable units and if they are, why is it so cheap

yes, all the units in the blackreach boxed set are usable in standard game, the only difference is that they are built differentley ( the marines are only 2 parts rather than 11).

The reason they are so cheap is because of the amount of parts, the less parts are needed, the less GW needs to pay for the injection moulding used to make them.

so dont they do this in other kits i hear you ask?

mostley because they want to facilitate interchanability and ease of converion (resculpting and modification), plus they are also alot easier to "paint-by-part" if thats how you approach painting.

another reason they make black reach cheap is no dount to attract new people to the hobby, if they see the starter set costing so much, they often wont buy it.
