No because it's alpha so it has bad penetration so it can only ionize tiny amounts of air particles around the alarm before it gets completely "blocked up" if u no wat i mean. the alpha particle can barely even go through paper so the plastic shell of the alarm can shield off more than like 99% of the alpha particles already. Theres no way ionized air particle can harm the environment because dey r just without their electrons due to them being bumped off by the alpha particle. Alpha partcles dont stay in the air to poison it or anything like that either. it may damage ur plants if u put them 2 close though because its got superior ionization ability.
