New brown leather shoes, how do i soften the leather?

bought some brown leather shoes...and i wore them for about 6 hours for the fist time. and they ripped my feet apart, was on a date at the time! couldnt do anything! but i have a large blister on my little toe and the back of my ankle. its oinly on my right foot though..i was wandering, how do i soften the leather? i ahve leather school shoes and there as soft as a babys bottom. any ideas? thank you

try soaking them in warm water whilst on your feet it allows the fabric to soften and mould to the natural shape of your feet.
