Some scart leads are very expensive (gold plated etc) are they worth the money?

Some cost £75 only 1 metre long. I feel somesone is trying to rip me off. I have several £6 cost ones which provide an excellent picture to my DVD recorder.

i worked for directv and saw them a lot and in my 3 years there i could not tell the difference the only thing that they are good for is they last longer if you are going to put them in and out consistently, and they look much better then the cheaper ones, gold dose have a better resistance but with electricity!!! Not video or audio out put, the voltage is to low, monster cables are better for long trajectories just because they are thickerand hold a better signal but if you are using them from a DVD player that is like a foot away it is a complete waste of money
