Here are some more information for Edge Paris:

For 'anna Nicole'â¦'britney'â¦'the Diaper Astronaut'â¦'paris'â¦the 'drama' Never Ends
Such a move prompts the paparazzi to focus their activity on the “story†of the day or those who may want to be the “story†of the day. When the paparazzi activity gets a bit out of hand then comes the feigned outrage from the target. We have all been on the highway when traffic backs up for a mile or so only to find a disable vehicle pulled way off the road but nonetheless, drivers slow to look to see if there is any blood for the daily gore boost. There is this fascination with train wrecks. Historically, this can wear off and wear off quickly. The scenes of war, brutality, perverse behavior, and beyond can make people numb from exposure and sensitivity to future like events. The people in the middle of civil strife find nothing “cool†living their very own train wreck. The people of Darfur area may not be following this story. Survival is their focus, nothing else. Millions have died in this region. Other areas of civil strife are equally gut wrenching. Now it seems the news has changed its mantra from “If It Bleeds It Leads†now to “If It Is Bizarre Enough It Leadsâ€. Are the news and media sources going to become the real life reruns of the movie “Jackassâ€.
Madonna, the former queen of marketing, through her own version of shock and awe, must be wondering “Gee…How could anyone top these playersâ€. The publicity agents of the “Old Hollywood†of yesteryear would be closing up shop. With the news cycle, internet, text messaging, YouTube, Cell Downloads, a more aggressive paparazzi with super telephoto lens and electronics delivery systems to the rag pages (now mainstream) with the general public hanging on ever detail, business is good.
Other than capturing readerships, viewerships, Internet clicks all for the benefit of advertisers that may end up in sales, what kind of energy and money is expended to this end. As the ACLU with a case by case attack to destroy and chip away at the moral fiber of America why don’t we just waive the tenets of the Ten Commandments and make murder, and the other nine as obsolete. Then how we rule ourselves. Not everyone has to be a religious freak, but is there some moral code that is to be accepted? Is the ACLU using the very freedoms that have made this grand democratic experiment the beacon of freedom to the rest of the world to weaken the nations under pinning with a run to mediocrity. Everyone wants some order and dependency to run their lives in reasonable security. The pursuit of happiness may not mean to succumb to every perversion under the planet. If this nation is to survive it will need to be something more. All the long-term civilizations of the past had their runs but the final end came through some sort of moral decay or over indulgence in self and as recent author states in the book “The Enemy Withinâ€. How long does America have in its life cycle?
It’s interesting to note the homegrown financial gurus are already betting on America’s demise and fall. While they make financial plays, with money they piled up in America, that are dependent and tied to the falling dollar, one must wonder is there no other way to make money in our country then by betting against it? Is this really for the benefit of their stockholders to find a temporary return? In my book, don’t ever bet against America. The bigger they are the harder they fall. Ask the Germans and Japanese of World War 11 era when America gets riled and we believe in the cause someone else is going to pay. This nation has its faults and shortcomings, but we are all free to work towards making improvements. Democracies are messy. That’s the way it is. Ideas are argued and discussed. In most cases, majority rules with protection to the minority positions. It allows fluff to exist and flourish.
In the backwater towns of America there are people going about their business with great optimism and diligence. Many are raising their families in the principles that have made this country great. They work hard, not looking for any handouts, pay their mortgage and bills on time and try to establish a family unit that will nurture their growth in a safe environment. It is here that you may find home schooling, religious training, tolerance, charity for the less fortunate, and a keen sense of belonging to a community and a wiliness to do their fair share.
It’s with interest that citizens of the world are lining up to come to this country. They have had the real advantage of living in other countries that may be ruled by a dictator or Socialist County based on a plan of participation in low productivity and high unemployment (nothing is ever free) or religious zealot persecution. In any case the line has formed and has been in place since we have been a nation. Newcomers have the power of comparison of what they left. They bring with them, by and large, enthusiasm, and optimism with a can do attitude. Those who wish to join the melting pot and become part of America are welcome. That is not to say anyone needs to give up his or her heritage, but don’t try supper imposing on the rest of the nation. Otherwise they need to just stay where they are. America’s hope may lay in the newest arrivals. That energy and purpose seem to come into play right away. Many an immigrant arrives with no money to our shores and by some miraculous means through working in, as many jobs they can handle are able to carve out a life for themselves and their respective families. America needs more of these doers of the world who want to come here and assimilate into our culture while maintaining their own sense of self and where they come from. This needs to lead to an in depth dialogue that can place a proper and fair immigration plan in place for America. We need this imported energy and optimism among us to remind the rest of us that this is a pretty incredible country where opportunities abound. It’s not about the fluff.
The 2008 political race has begun in earnest. With competition from the fluff edges it is very difficult for the candidates to get airtime on their respective views and positions. The issues facing this country are too important to be displaced by the fluff.
“Anna Nicole†is not in the game anymore, but the remaining pieces on her game board are being played out now. Until the next story comes along, the players in the cameras eye seems to be “Brittanyâ€, “Paris†and to a lesser extent the “Diaper Astronautâ€. This incredible fascination with this superficial drama speaks to what is important to this country. Darfu and the United Nations inept efforts to save a dying population needs to be “THE STORYâ€. Not this fluff based nonsense. I pray, America can get a grip and wake up to the fact that the “me†stories pale in comparison to a human tragedy on a mass scale.
