Is it safe to swim to the second sandbar in destin florida?

We had a raft and decided to swim to the second sandbar in Santa rosa beach which is right by destin Florida. It was a lot further and rougher than we thought but we almost made it. We saw jellyfish and decided to swim back though. Just out of curiosity, since we could barelyseethe bottom, were there most likely sharks, stingrays in the water between the shore and second sandbar?????

It's generally fine during the day. I would avoid early morning of evening because that seems to be when the predators comes out. I would also be careful of the rip tide.
