Anyone have any opinions about convertible car seat for petite 7.5 mo old girl..?

It's just me (with no child support btw) so not only am I look for something "reasonably priced" but that darn infant carrier is SO heavy, but since you don't have the "luxery" of taking the convertible one out of the car is it more of a hassle trying to carry EVERYTHING a single mom carries (which is a lot) + baby. I'm looking for something semi-girly also.. Thanks!!

I have a Cosco Alpha Omega Elite 3-in-1 Car Seat for my son and intend on getting one for my daughter too. I do prefer the infant carrier type car seats when they are newborns but I started using the Alpha Omega with my son when he was around 4 months old and he is now 4 and still using it. It cost me around $150 but I feel thats a good value for an infant rear facing seat, front facing toddler seat and a booster they are good for children 5 pounds to 100 pounds! As a previous poster mentioned babies do have to be rear facing until they are 20 pounds and 1 year

Oh and about carrying everything...get a really huge bag Thats what I had to do since I carry stuff for 5 kids LOL!
