There are so many clothing styles available, that it is inevitable that fashions and styles will crossover. It makes perfect sense that some labels will be imitated, and they always say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Fashion is full of styles that have been rehashed, and it begs the question, what other styles are going to emerge this century? It tends to go in cycles, the smarter dresses women wore in the 20th century represented the repressive times. These were gradually phased out as shorter skirt styles emerged and women thrived in the newer era of skimpy fashions.

Some fashion labels make money on the strength that they follow latest trends, but some will try to maintain two or three lines. Often customers will search for their favourite items and rarely leave their favourite labels. Less well known brands must struggle to get into the right areas of the marketplace so they will rehash men's T shirts, women's casual tops and other styles of the moment.

Denim manufacturers have the easiest fashion, evolving the cut of the jeans and creating better names than flares. Designer T shirts are no longer made for the tank top generation, men's t shirts have more design focus now rather than cut. Also, if the casual tops on offer are symbols of the times, then hoodies and zipup tops are very popular.

Women's fashions focus on dress designs, but in our comfort driven society, women's casual tops are popular with nice blends like the T Shirt dress. The staple fashion items, the hooded top, the zip up top, and men and women's t shirts are always going to be around. The adage that form is temporary and class is permanent doesn't apply in fashion. This explains why people love changing their look, the minority just stick with tried and tested.

Guys Vests?

Well, I haven't seen many guys wear vests since fall 2000, when everyone in my school pretty much wore one. Im not so much talking about the time of year, Im talking about their popularity every few years. I hope this year is one of those years.

They just go too far in making people look preppy.
When young people think of vests they usually think of their grandpas or rich white collar business men and seriously who wants to look like that?
But some nice vests are being made by some brands(WESC , Sean John, Ecko, Etc. ) and they look quite decent.
I say go for wearing one if you can pull it off.
Be different from the crowd.
