What do I need to take to tag office for my car that has been tagless for 2 yrs?

My son's license was suspended for 2 yrs. He didnt cancel the tag but just didnt renew it for the 2 yrs. He has no title yet because he is still paying on the loan for it. He now has his license back and he is asking what he needs to take to the tag office to get the tag renewed. (he knows he needs proof of insurance) thks

He should take his old registration to the DMV office. Most likely he will be asked to pay up the registration, plus the late fees. Then they will hand him the new registration and tags. Possible they will give him a temporary permit if he still needs to get an emissions test or safety inspection, or something like that. Anyways he needs to go to the DMV to take care of the matter.
