The absence of a top draw spinner is beginning to hurt Australia and the retirement of Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath and Adam Gilchrist has left them sore and barren. However, Australia showed bags of reserve talent during their last trip against the Windies and they certainly have the legs to match up to any top side in World cricket at the moment. How does a white light project connect to the enviorment?

I'm doing a project on how white light and colors connect to the enviorment. My project is what color appears when a spinner turns fast ( spinner has 6 colors, orange, red, green, blue, yellow and purple). So how does it connect with the world.

The colors you see on the spinner when it is still are the various colors of light reflected by each pigment. When the circle spins quickly, your eyes cannot see each color of reflected light separately. You see only the result of mixing the different colored light together. This is why the disk appears grayish white even though there are really seven colors on it.

Your experiment has to do with how colors in the environment are perceived by the human eye. Colors that are moving rapidly may not be perceived accurately.

A disc containing alternating blue and green colored sections will appear to be a single different color if the disc is rotated fast enough because the human eye cannot distinguish between the colors. Human eyes will perceive this as a cyan-colored disc.

Likewise, a spinning red and blue disc will appear magenta, and a spinning red and green disc will appear yellow.
