It's a simple black polyester skirt. I removed the gum, but there's still a stain on the fabric. I'm not sure about using lighter gas or solvents on it. What's the best method?

Try using peanut butter. Use a little at a time so you use the least amount possible. You should be able to get the grease stain out with a laundry additive. To be sure, line dry the skirt, don't put it in the dryer until you know everything's gone. Good luck!
