Where to throw away computer wires and components?

I just finished a loong house cleaning and have bags of old phone chargers, random charging cables, computer cables, keyboards, mice, and other junk like that. I do not just want to throw them in the trash thinking that they will just lay in a trash dump destroying the planet. Is there a place I can take these wires to be recycled or something?
