Greasy face? Is makeup causing it? How to help? Details...? I live in a climate sorta like Washington's (cold, cloudy, sometimes warm, can be very hot in summertime), I'm 15, I don't have acne, but SOMETIMES break out in small areas, and have a very oily face. I wear a skin-colored light powder (Neutrogena Healthy Skin Blends in skin-tone shade), a little bit of bare minerals, and sometimes even some clinique blush that i got at the clinique sale. I don't think it's my makeup that's causing my oily face because they are supposedly good brands, and some of them make fash washes! When i leave in the morning, my face looks great, but by time i get home, it's red/blotchy/shiny and greasy. i do own oil blotting films and an extra healthy skin blends in my backpack (it makes the shininess go away) but I don't like to visit the bathroom because i don't have time, it's crowded, and it's embarassing. What are some tips you would reccomend that don't involve "touching up" or "primping" all the time? So probably makeup tips won't help, but MAYBE. thanks!
Watch your diet. Eat lots of fruit and vegetables. No boxed food or fast food. Take 1 tsp. flax seed oil everyday to nourish your skin from the inside out. Moisturize! I use this recipe and moisturizing keeps the oil down. 1/2 cup water, 3 tsp. vegetable glycerin and 5 drops lemon essential oil. Use aloe vera as a toner and try a organic cleanser. When you do break out mix 2 drops tea tree oil mixed with aloe vera and it heals really fast. Also try taking vitamin B5 it's been proven to help acne along with tea tree. Here are some links that I found at another question that are really good, homemade and cheap ways to take care of oily skin. - Get The Glow, But Remove The Shine - Homemade Facial Skin Care Recipes For Oily Skin, the link : http://www.skincare-diary.com/get-the-gl... - What Is Oily Skin, How To Treat It, And How Not To Treat It, the link : http://www.acneskin123.com/what-is-oily-... - All about oily skin aging products, the link : http://www.anti-aging-corner.com/all-abo... - The Best Facial Care Regimen For Beautiful Skin, the link : http://www.skincare-diary.com/the-best-f... - All About Facial Skin Care, the link : http://www.skincare-diary.com/all-about-... My grandson Max , who is 8, has accumulated quite an extensive library of kids’ literature. You see, his grandmother absolutely loves books. She loves to read them, to write them, to collect them and even to vigorously scrub them — her job as a volunteer for the Friends of the Prueter Library, who sell gently used donations to raise money.
